Our success depends on the 150 full-time professionals who look after thousands of members, golfers, residents, delegates and diners every month. But it’s not all work. All our full-time staff are allowed and encouraged to enjoy the sports facilities and fully subsidised staff restaurant.

What Are The Opportunities?

Here we outline some of the jobs at the club. Read them, see what catches your imagination and then complete our careers enquiry form.

But before you do, remember this. Anyone can carry a plate or make a bed. The key is to really want to look after people as Chairman, Ian Hayton, often says "We must give our customers more than they have a right to expect"

There are full-time, part-time and casual positions available to the people with the right attitude. A variety of limited accommodation is provided for full time catering, reception and housekeeping staff. The Caterer & Hotel Keeper says "Foxhills is one of the few companies trying to make hospitality a more attractive career choice".

Reception, including switchboard and reservations :

The first and last person our guest will meet. Warm, presentable, caring and efficient are just some of the qualities that spring to mind, plus a liking for figure work and a knowledge of computers. This department is truly the front line and deals with many varied tasks. With training, you would become multi skilled, involved in all reception duties, switchboard shifts and room reservations.

In this department you would check in/out our guests, produce restaurant and function bills, handle cash/credit cards, and be responsible for the efficient operation of the switchboard. You would also answer customer queries and be involved in the management of the bedrooms. A fully computerised reception and management system is in place.

Housekeeping :

This department covers a wide range of career opportunities, such as room attendants, linen porters, cleaners and housekeepers. All these positions are related to the cleaning of the entire complex and only the highest standards are required from staff in this area.

Conference porters :

This department covers concierge, conference and room service. Very much a front line department, customer care is our prime concern and the service offered is comprehensive. This busy department operates on a shift system, dealing with a variety of tasks, such as international conferences, product launches, training courses, wedding receptions, full room services, concierge duties and escorting our guests and luggage to their rooms.

Restaurant Waiters :

There are three different restaurants on offer, varying from the formal surroundings of the Manor Restaurant, the relaxed atmosphere of the Clubhouse and the Summerhouse Brasserie. All offer excellent cuisine and enjoyable working environments, ideally suited to an outgoing personality.

Kitchen :

Foxhills has three kitchens serving three distinctly different restaurants, so chefs can gain experience in a la carte, banqueting and brasserie operations. What's more the brigade of 18 chefs is overseen by a Master Chef of Great Britain which means the training is second to none.

Gym Instructors :

Our health club is probably the busiest part of Foxhills with hundreds of families visiting each day. Foxfit is equipped with an extensive gym, squash courts, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, creche and a health and beauty salon. Each week our instructors teach a total of 50 classes in the exercise studio and gym, which are offered free to members. With many members to look after, customer service and a warm personality are just some of the qualities required.

Maintenance :

Our bedrooms, leisure club, function suites and kitchens are just some of the departments around the complex that need constant attention. This department is vital to the success of Foxhills, in ensuring that all areas meet the needs of our guests. Multi skilled staff, (ideally with experience in electrical work) carry out daily checks and repairs in all areas

Golf Services :

This department is ideally suited to those who like the outdoors and have a friendly personality. This is very much a front line department, offering a high level of customer care and presence around the complex. Ensuring the smooth play on golf courses, dealing with valid inquiries and looking after the security of the complex are just some of the tasks achieved by this department

Greenkeeping :

With two 18-hole championship golf courses voted in the top 5% in the UK by golf monthly, a 9-hole par three, a driving range and 400 acres of grounds to maintain, this department relies on good teamwork and organisation For those who enjoy working outdoors, this is for you.
